By creating an account or using Tokonomics ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Tokonomics is an AI cost metering platform that acts as a proxy between your applications and LLM API providers. It records token usage, calculates costs, provides analytics, and sends budget alerts.
Tokonomics is a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) service. You provide your own LLM provider API keys. Tokonomics does not pay for your LLM usage — all API costs are billed directly by the provider to your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately at hello@tokonomics.ca if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
You agree not to use Tokonomics to:
Free plan: Limited to 100 proxy calls per calendar month. No credit card required. Resets on the first of each month.
Pro plan: $49/month, billed monthly via Stripe. Up to 1,000,000 proxy calls per month, 90-day data retention, unlimited budget alerts.
Subscriptions auto-renew monthly. You can cancel at any time from the billing dashboard — your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.
The Pro plan includes up to 1,000,000 proxy calls per calendar month under our fair use policy. This limit is designed to prevent abuse and ensure quality of service for all customers.
If your usage consistently exceeds this threshold, we will contact you to discuss an Enterprise plan tailored to your needs. We will not suspend your service without prior notice.
Automated scripts that generate excessive load, reselling proxy access to third parties, or any activity that degrades the service for other users may result in temporary rate limiting or account suspension.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You retain ownership of all data you send through the Service. By using the Service, you grant Tokonomics a limited license to store and process your usage data for the sole purpose of providing the Service.
We do not store your prompt content or end-user messages — only billing metadata (token counts, costs, model names, custom tags).
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Pro plan includes a 99.9% uptime SLA for the proxy infrastructure. In the event of proxy downtime, requests are designed to fail open — falling through to the provider directly so your application continues working.
We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice where possible.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that cost calculations will be 100% accurate at all times due to provider pricing changes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tokonomics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to LLM API costs incurred, lost profits, or data loss.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You may cancel your account at any time by contacting hello@tokonomics.ca. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Canada.
